Which Installation Option Suits Your Door
The scope of work depends on the door's condition and the task. In practice, there are three main scenarios.
Ready-Made Installation Slot
The first option is installation into a ready-made slot. This method works if the door leaf already has an opening of the required size and the new mechanism matches the positions of the mountings, handle, and cylinder. The technician only needs to secure the body, install the hardware, and adjust the strike plate.
Additional Lock
The second option is an additional lock. It is placed above or below the main mechanism if there is enough free space inside the door. Before marking, the positions of rods, reinforcements, wiring, and other structural elements are checked.
