The technician checks the bolt travel with the door open, tie rod fixings, drive operation, and alignment with the strike plates. If the door leaf has sagged, the upper or lower elements start hitting the frame. In such a case, adjustment of the door and locking points is required.

How to Identify the Gerda Lock Model

Markings can be found on the housing, faceplate, inner escutcheon or key. If the model name is not visible, take the following photographs:

• the door from outside and inside;
• the edge with the faceplate;
• the inner escutcheon and handle;
• the keyhole in close-up;
• the damaged area, if any.

It is helpful to provide the approximate year of installation and the opening direction. This information helps distinguish similar series and select compatible components.
